


Launched in late 2021, the News @ Nāwahkik series began as a livestream pilot designed to share information, language, and events with the community. Over time, the series has grown significantly, recently streaming its 161st episode as of the end of 2025. This regular programming serves as a valuable resource for natural language exposure and renormalizing our language as a means of community communication. The live broadcast occurs every Tuesday at noon from the Menomini yoU’s Wāqsecewan Language Campus.

2022 Menomini yoU Documentary Film
The film provides an introduction to the Menominee people and Menomini yoU’s organizational mission, emphasizing the importance of revitalizing and renormalizing the Menomini language and culture. The short 13 minute film highlights the lasting impacts of historical boarding schools, which disrupted language transmission and cultural practices within the community. The film also shares how the community is actively working to reverse these impacts by fostering language and cultural engagement, aimed at strengthening identity, healing intergenerational trauma, and empowering future generations.
