On August 1, 2024, the Wāqsecewan Language Campus officially opened to the public ushering in a new chapter in the efforts to revitalize and renormalize the Menomini language and associated lifeways. The 10,000 square foot facility situated on a 3.5-acre campus in Keshena, features dedicated office, social, and cultural spaces, classrooms, meeting rooms, technology room, a kitchen and storage. The Wāqsecewan Language Campus established permanent and dedicated physical space enhancing our visibility and ability to meet our short and long term mission driven goals. This stability opened the door to expanded programs, expanded employment opportunities, an increase in events, and further collaborations with other community organizations strengthening our community engagement and community-wide impact.

The Wāqsecewan Language Campus is more than just a physical asset, it is our foundation for organizational growth, programmatic innovation, and lasting community impact.
